Inala Youth Service (IYS) is working in partnership with highly-regarded, established local organisations to establish a new South West Bail Support Service in Ipswich, Inala and environs. The program will support young people aged 10 – 17 years who are involved in the youth justice system and at very high risk of being remanded into custody.
What does the role include?
We are seeking a dynamic leader, with experience in community engagement to establish and run this exciting new program. Key tasks will include building an exceptional team, the development of a strong support and referral network across the region, and program delivery supporting your team and young people to succeed.
Program success will see an increase in the number of young people receiving bail rather than remand, increase the number of young people completing bail, and support young people to enhance their self-belief and hopefulness.
The program will work within a person-centred, strengths based, trauma informed, restorative, culturally competent framework to provide a mix of intensive youth and family support, diversionary/activity-based youth support and practical youth and family supports through client led case management.
