Young people aged between 16 to 25, who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness are provided with opportunities to experience safety, security and connection through IYS Specialist Housing Service.
Originally offering 3 month temporary crisis housing options for young people and families in the Inala, Durack and Richlands area in 1986, housing support service has expanded to deliver free information, advocacy, referrals, support, case management, and short – medium term transitional accommodation to over 400 young people each year.

Our service is individually tailored to each young person to ensure the outcome is best suited to their individual needs.
As an integrated youth and families service we have the ability to refer young people internally to our other programs to help them create their own opportunities, whether it be finding a job, enhancing their own health and wellbeing or reconnecting with their family or community.
